A family-run carnivorous plant nursery in British Columbia

It started in 2022 with a single sundew. We bought it to fill an empty corner of the living room — the dew glistening on its leaves caught our eye, and the moment we read that it eats flies, we were sold.

That one sundew turned into a Venus flytrap, then a Nepenthes ventricosa, and a small assortment of butterworts! We started with a handful of plants in a single tray. That tray became a rack, the rack became a greenhouse, and years of trading and importing with other growers grew into the collection we ship from today.

Along the way we started sharing our extras locally, and we kept meeting people who were into them for the same reasons we were. Some bought their first plant to fight a losing war against fruit flies and fungus gnats. Plenty of others just love growing weird, beautiful plants.

So that’s what this is. Not a business plan, a hobby that outgrew our house. Our favourite part is still helping someone grow their very first carnivorous plant. We’ve gifted plants to friends, family and coworkers, and watched almost every one of them get hooked. There’s something calming about checking on a pitcher that’s grown bigger overnight, and honestly, watching a Sarracenia stretch taller each season beats a new leaf on a pothos any day.
