Tillandsia baileyi (Bailey's Ball Moss)
All plants ship bare-root.
Tillandsia baileyi, Bailey's Ball Moss, is a medium-sized air plant (25–35 cm) from southern Texas and Mexico with long, flexible leaves marked with distinctive lengthwise lines. It blooms with mauve to light purple tubular flowers from pink bracts.
How to keep it happy
Bright, indirect light — a bright window works well, but avoid hot, direct sun.
Soak fully submerged 20 to 30 minutes about once a week, then shake off and dry upside down within about four hours. Never leave one sitting wet.
None needed. Mount them on wood or set them loose in a bowl or shell, and keep them away from copper, which is toxic to them.
Once a month, add a fertilizer made for air plants or bromeliads to the soak water. Avoid full-strength houseplant fertilizer, which can burn the leaves.
None needed. Air plants grow year round.
